  • DOTA 2 Streamers safe after home invasion!

    http://www.azfamily.com/news/Search-on-for-2-armed-suspects-in-early-morning-home-invasion-262377261.html

Some of the media covering the incident seem to really downplay how much attention comes to online streamers, especially when they experience a home invasion LIVE on their stream.

I’m not much of a DOTA 2 player, but I think everyone in the eSport community can understand and appreciate the impact and significance of the event.

This reminds me somewhat of the Phantoml0rd and hacker incident wherein online hackers high jacked attention of Phantoml0rd’s stream by DDoSing games he attempted to play. The danger element came, when police were called in upon being given a false report that their was a hostage situation at Phantoml0rd’s home. Phantoml0rd had police train their weapons on him during the incident.
